Is the Cape Cod ONLINE Real Estate Academy an approved Massachusetts Real Estate School by the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers & Salespersons?
Yes, the Cape Cod Online Real Estate Academy is an approved and bonded school with the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers & Salespersons. School number: #1427.
What is the process to get my licence?
Take the class, pass the test, pay for your license at the exam center after passing the test. Successful completion of the class is state mandated prior to testing.
Where do I take the test?
There are five authorised test centers: Boston, Lawrence, Auburn, Fall River and West Springfield (and since Jan 2021 online too).
How long is the class?
40 hours. Memberships are for six months.
Is the class taught by a state approved instructor?
The class is taught by Jack Gately, an approved real estate school instructor and Massachusetts real estate broker. The instructor is always present in the virtual classroom.
Do I need prior knowledge of the real estate industry?
The class is designed to take you through the complete state mandated curriculum, no prior real estate knowledge is required.
After I complete the class, how long do I have to pass the exam?
Two years.
So, I sign up for the exam separately from the school?
Yes. As of April 1, 2016 the Massachusetts real estate salesperson exam is administered by PSI Exams on behalf of the Commonwealth. Candidates should visit psiexams.com or call 800 733-9267. Our school code is: 1427.
I would like to re-take some or all of the class?
Sure, you can re-take, but you must complete within 6 months of enrollment.
Refund policy
If you cancel before watch any pre-recorded lesson for any amount of time, we will issue a full refund, if requested within 14 days of enrollment. No refund in full or in part, shall be issued if you have attended any portion of a webinar or accumulated any watch time of pre-recorded videos.
Promotional pricing will not be applied retroactively. No refund, under any circumstance, will be issued after 14 days of payment.
No refund, under any circumstance will be issued for a continuing education product.
I had a Massachusetts real estate license many years ago, can I reinstate that license or do I need to start all over again?
If you are listed in the state database, then you'll need 12 hours of continuing education, before you reinstate or reactivate, sign up here for all 12 hours.
